The time has finally arrived! Your pictures are done and ready to be viewed and shared with the world! To ensure that your photos are looking the best when saving and sharing them, I’ve put together this quick guide of simple do’s and don’ts.
Viewing Your Photos Online
Online hosting is a wonderful way to view your photos to select your favorites to order prints. Also, this is your chance to share photos with family and friends easily! The online photos will have a watermark, but when the photos are downloaded, they will not Here’s how to view your photos online:
Open the email you received
Take note of the Password, Download PIN, and expiry date.
Click the link to View Photos
After the page loads, enter the Password and email address.
To move to the next photos using arrows or click the arrows.
You can select your favorites for your album or print selections by using the “like” or heart button. If you are on mobile, you may need to swipe up to view buttons
You (or your family) can also order prints from this site.
Downloading All Your Photos At Once
The best way to save all of your photos is by downloading your whole album at once. This is saves all of your pictures for you in a single action. This is highly recommended to do on a laptop or desktop computer. To download all of your photos at once:
Open the email you received with the link to your photos. Be sure to write down the Password, and 4 digit PIN included on the same email at the bottom.
Enter the Password and email if required
Once the album is open, click the download button on the top right corner. (shown below)
The screen may prompt you for a 4 digit download PIN - enter the PIN from the email.
The download should begin
Once download has completed, double click to unzip and open
Download the photos using the actual Download button. This saves the highest quality version of your pictures. From the front page of your Gallery, you will see this Download button on the top right hand side.
Save to an external hard drive, USB, or cloud storage. I cannot make any guarantees for archived work, so I always advise creating an immediate backup of the photos that is tucked away where it won’t be messed with.
Screenshot the images on your phone or computer. This saves your pictures with a giant border, and often at near a 1/4 the quality. It may look okay at first glance on your phone, but I can assure you that when you go to print or look closer, you’ll see a big difference in quality.
Don’t forget to download the whole album at least once to make sure you have all the photos in one place.
Download Individual Photos
There are a couple different ways to get your individual photos you like. Although tempting, remember to avoid screenshots from your phone, as the quality will be very low.
Note: If you are not seeing the option for individual photo, contact me.
Open the image you want to download, and click the Download button at the top. This will prompt you for your download PIN - this is the PIN from the email. This will download a high-resolution unwatermarked image.
From the gallery view, you can hover the mouse over an image and there will be a download option there. That will download a high-res image as well.
